Sara Andon - Flute
Flutist Sara Andon is an international soloist and recording artist known for her ravishing tone and deeply engaging musical interpretations. A versatile performer in many music genres including solo, chamber, symphonic, opera, ballet, new music, jazz and Broadway, she has performed all over the world in major concert venues, TV and radio broadcasts, as well as on countless motion picture soundtracks, video games and documentaries. A graduate of USC and Yale, she is the solo flutist with the LA's contemporary ensemble "Brightwork newmusic" and is a regular featured soloist with the Hear Now Festival and Jacaranda Music Series. In addition to being a guest performer with other various LA ensembles, such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Opera, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, she is a concert soloist, being featured in a series of live events that began in 2013 celebrating new and iconic film music here in Los Angeles and at various film music festivals around the globe, including a solo performance with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Her two most recent solo recordings are on Sony Classical: "Cinema Morricone-An Intimate Celebration" and "Return To Life" honoring world-renown composer Ennio Morricone. She is also the Artist Teacher of Flute at the University of Redlands School of Music and Idyllwild School of the Arts.
