Sage Shurman, Young Composer

Sage Shurman is a 15 year-old composer and pianist from Los Angeles. She loves telling stories through her compositions and has composed many orchestral and chamber works as well as several scores for short animations. This year, Sage is a 2020/21 fellow in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program and last year she was a Luna Composition Lab Fellow. She has had her work performed by many ensembles such as the LA Phil and the LACO. Sage studies privately with Dr. Ian Krouse at UCLA.
