Noah Godard - Guest Composer
Noah Godard is an 18 year-old composer, pianist, and oboist from Moorpark, California. Beginning this fall, he will be pursuing a BM in composition at the Juilliard School, studying with Matthias Pintscher.
Noah has studied composition with Brett Banducci since 2019 and is currently in his third year in the LA Phil Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program. Through this program, he studies with Andrew Norman, Sarah Gibson, and Thomas Kotcheff, and has had works premiered by members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Lyris Quartet. Noah has also taken part in festivals including MATA Jr., the Yellow Barn Young Artists’ Program, and New Music on the Bluff. He has been named a finalist in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards four times, and was a 2021 YoungArts Finalist in music composition.
When he’s not playing or composing music, Noah enjoys growing bonsai, studying linguistics, solving crosswords, and drinking tea.
