Jia Lin, Young Composer

Jia Lin is a junior at Conestoga High School and studies piano with Ning Zhang. She began playing piano at the age of 2 and began composing music at the age of 13. Jia was named a National Winner in the National Guild of Piano Teachers from 2015-2020 having scored Superior in her auditions. Her accomplishments in composition include placing 2nd in the 2020 PFMC Composition Competition and being named a National Winner in the 2021 Golden Key Composition Competition. Many of her creative endeavors are inspired by experience with synesthesia.
