David Hernandez, Young Composer

David Hernandez is a classical guitarist and composer based in Burbank, CA. He is also a 2020/21 fellow in the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Nancy and Barry Sanders Composer Fellowship Program. In addition to being a senior at John Burroughs High School, David is concurrently enrolled at Pasadena City College. At the age of thirteen, David became enamored with the world of classical music and began his study of classical guitar with Cuban guitarist and composer, Yalil Guerra. In the fall of 2020, David started his first formal lessons in composition with Dr. Jesse Wright-Fitzgerald.
